Job summary

Newsandtribune seeks a Surgical Technologist with Level 1 trauma experience for a high-volume 22-room hospital operating room in Massachusetts. NBSTSA certification is required, with BLS and active license as applicable.

Inpatient surgery experience of at least 3 years is essential. You will work 12-hour shifts on a mid-rotation, totaling 36 hours per week, with on-call 1x per schedule and occasional float to other OR campuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient surgery experience required.
• Level 1 trauma experience required.
• NBSTSA certification required, no other certification accepted.
• BLS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Must be competent in at least 5 of the listed surgical specialties.
• Excellent communication skills and a flexible, positive attitude required.

Responsibilities

• Hospital operating room setting staffed 24/7 across 22 ORs.
• Surgical services include general, gyn, GU, oral, oto, bariatrics, ortho, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatric, trauma, and spine.
• 12-hour shifts on a mid rotation with 7a or 7p start times, totaling 36 hours per week.
• Every 3rd weekend as needed and every other holiday.
• On-call requirement of 1x per schedule.
• May float to other OR campuses as needed.
• Support surgical procedures across a wide range of specialties in a high-volume trauma center.
• Work collaboratively within a large surgical team in a fast-paced environment.
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies for local versus travel rate eligibility.
• Local candidates accepted.
