American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital OR position in California. The role requires NBSTSA CST licensure and 5 years of surgical technology experience with exposure to vascular, transplant, ophthalmology, spine, robotic, or cardiac cases.

The position involves 4x10 night shifts, weekend rotation, and on-call duties in a community hospital setting with opportunities for travel and per diem reimbursements.

Qualifications

• CST certification through NBSTSA required (license required if applicable).
• BLS certification from the AHA required.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 5 years of surgical technology experience preferred, 2 years minimum required.
• Experience with vascular, transplant, ophthalmology, spine, robotic, or cardiac procedures preferred.
• Community hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred.
• Proficiency in aseptic technique, sterile instrument processing, and specimen handling.

Responsibilities

• Support general OR, CVOR, and hybrid OR cases in a community hospital setting.
• Maintain patient 1:1 during procedures.
• Work 4x10 night shifts with start times 21:00–23:00.
• Participate in weekend rotation and on-call requirements.
• Assist surgical teams in preparing for and during operative procedures.
• Support multiple surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, neuro, cardiovascular, and general surgery.
