Newsandtribune seeks a Surgical Technologist for a hospital surgical services unit in Lexington, KY. Open to candidates with a technical diploma or associate's degree and BLS certification.

The role functions within an RN-directed surgical team, performing scrub duties and maintaining strict aseptic technique. Evening 4x10-hour shifts (11:00 AM–9:30 PM) and a 40-hour week are expected. Licensure may be required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma from a Surgical Technology program or an associate's degree.
• BLS certification is required.
• No prior experience is required.
• License is required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the hospital's surgical services unit under RN direction.
• Perform scrub functions aligned with the perioperative plan of care.
• Maintain aseptic technique: gowning, gloving, sterilization, disinfection.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure OR readiness before cases.
