Job description

American Traveler is seeking a CVOR Surgical Technologist with at least 3 years of cardiovascular experience for a hospital operating room position.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist with required cardiovascular experience
• BLS certification required
• CST certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Washington state license required if applicable
• Proof of Washington state license application required at time of consideration if active license not yet in hand
• Two professional references from within the past 2 years required, with at least one from a supervisor
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based General OR/CVOR unit setting
• 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Will take call for the cardiac unit
• Candidates must be willing to float within the health system as operationally necessary
• Assist the surgical team during operative procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field
• Arrange and inventory sterile instrument set-ups and pass items to the surgical team as needed
• Apply principles of asepsis to establish and maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures
• Assist with patient positioning and movement during surgical cases
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instrumentation, and assist with room turnover between cases
• Access computer systems as needed to support surgical documentation
• Skills should include experience with general surgery, gynecologic, neurosurgical, and orthopedic procedures
• Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are not accepted
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Previous PeaceHealth employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Start date may be delayed up to 8 weeks if licensure is still in process at the time of consideration
• Up to 3 RTO days may be approved for auto-offer positions, or up to 7 RTO days for regular offers, and must be disclosed and approved prior to contract signing
