Job summary

American Traveler seeks a CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Virginia. Requires 2+ years CVOR CST, NBSTSA CST credential, BLS, and VA state license if applicable, with certifications not expiring within 30 days of start.

Assigned to a hospital-based Surgical Services unit with 2 CVOR rooms and a hybrid room. Day shift is 6:15 AM–5:00 PM, 4x10s, with rotating days off; on-call 10–12 calls per 4 weeks, no floating.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CVOR CST experience required.
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist credential required.
• BLS certification from AHA required.
• VA state license required if applicable and must be disclosed.
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Support CVOR procedures including complex cardiovascular cases.
• Operate within a specialized surgical team using advanced cardiac equipment.
• Adhere to facility dress code with blue scrubs.
• No floating required; 1:1 patient ratios.
• Day shift 4x10s from 6:15 AM to 5:00 PM with rotating days off.
• On-call 10-12 calls per 4-week period, may include weekends.

• Uses specialized equipment including IABP, ECMO, Atricure machine, and Impella 5.5
• Epic EMR used
• Day shift schedule of 4x10s from 6:15 AM to 5:00 PM with rotating days off
• On-call requirements of 10-12 calls per 4-week period, which may include weekends
• No floating required
• Support CVOR procedures including complex cardiovascular and hybrid cases
• Work within a specialized surgical team utilizing advanced cardiac support equipment
• Adhere to facility dress code with blue scrubs
• Candidates must live outside a 65-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• No employment gaps exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
