The role requires CST licensure, BLS, and 2+ years of experience (3+ preferred), with DaVinci robotics and teaching hospital exposure highly valued. Variable shifts, on-call, and potential travel within a 50-mile radius are involved.

Qualifications

• CST licensure (NBSTSA) is required.
• BLS certification (AHA) is required.
• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Strong Neuro, Spine, and Total Joint experience required.
• Experience with Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and DaVinci robotics required.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Trauma Level II experience preferred.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and DaVinci robotic procedures in the hospital operating room.
• 5x8 variable shift schedule; start times 0645–1500; weekend rotation.
• On-call requirement and potential float to other campus locations.
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio and adhere to aseptic technique and sterile processing standards.
• Assist in preparation for and during surgery; perform delegated duties per hospital standards.
• Cover a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, general surgery, and robotics (Da Vinci).
• Ensure infection control throughout procedures.

• Weekend rotation included in the schedule

• Occasional float to other campus locations
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Epic charting system preferred
• Assist in preparing for and during surgery, performing routine and delegated duties according to department and hospital standards
• Supports a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, general surgery, and robotics (Da Vinci)
• Maintain aseptic technique, sterilization, and infection control standards throughout proceduresOpen to candidates without previous travel experience
• Accepts local candidates at the local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
