American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma acute care hospital OR position in Lakewood, CO, with robotics and trauma experience. The role involves 12-hour shifts, on-call requirements, and working with EPIC EMR across 17 OR suites.

The ideal candidate holds CST through NBSTSA, BLS, CO DORA license, and is within 60 miles of the facility. Travel-friendly benefits include housing allowance and licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential via NBSTSA.
• CO DORA certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Robotics and trauma experience required.

• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Level 1 Trauma acute care hospital operating room with 17 surgical suites averaging 37 cases per day.
• Common cases include Ortho Trauma/Joints, Robotics, Neuro/Spine, Plastics, ENT, and Urology.
• 12-hour shifts, mostly self-scheduled with generally no block scheduling, including 7a-7p, 9a-9p, and 10-hour 7a-5p options.
• Weeknight call required approximately 3-4 shifts per 6 weeks with a 2-hour call response time.
• Holiday call required; weekend call only as needed.
• No routine floating within facility, though extreme need may require floating within the designated zone.
• EPIC EMR used.
• 24/7 Charge Nurse/House Supervisor support available.
• 13-week assignment with day shifts scheduled Friday-Sunday.
• Blue surgical scrubs provided.
• 2 days of unit/department specific orientation, with all clinicians expected to be in-state during orientation week even if initial modules are remote.
• Candidates must not have been directly employed by any facility associated with this health system within the past year, though PRN employment through outside firms will be considered.
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility.
