Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Level II Trauma Operating Room assignment in Michigan. The role requires 2+ years CST experience, NBSTSA and BLS, and proficiency across ortho, vascular, neuro, gen/gyn, and urology, with travel work encouraged.

Shifts are three 12-hour days, 11:00 AM–11:30 PM, with one night call per week and one weekend per month; candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility for consideration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of CST experience required.
• Level II Trauma experience required.
• Proficiency in Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, Gen/Gyn and Urology.

Responsibilities

• Level II Trauma Center hospital operating room setting.
• Provides advanced surgical care including structural heart, stroke, spine, cancer, orthopedic and women's health procedures.
• Utilizes robotic-assisted technology for minimally invasive procedures.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Afternoon shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts, 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM.
• Call requirement of one night per week and one weekend per month.
• Maintain sterile field and verify items on physician preference cards.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are available and functioning.
• Anticipate needs of the surgeon during procedures.
• CANDIDATES MUST reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered.

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• NBSTSA certification required
• License required if applicable
• Recent travel work experience highly preferred

• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon during procedures
• Hospital-provided dress code
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• No more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
