American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with robotics experience (DaVinci Xi) for an operating room role in Wisconsin. The position requires 2+ years of CST experience and BLS, with duties spanning preparation, scrubbing, and intraoperative support across multiple specialties.

Daily duties include assisting with diverse surgeries, maintaining 1:1 patient tech support, and ensuring efficient workflow in a Level II Trauma Center environment.

Qualifications

• CST certification required.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Robotics experience with DaVinci Xi required.
• Experience across General, ENT, Plastics, Urology, Bariatrics, GYN, minor Vascular, Neuro and Orthopedic surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Operate in Surgery Room units within Level II Trauma Center, NICU, and Primary Stroke Center.
• Support 19 operating rooms across two hospital locations.
• Provide care for General, Robotics (DaVinci Xi/DV5), ENT, Plastics, Urology, Bariatrics, GYN, minor Vascular surgeries.
• Assist with Neuro and Orthopedic cases as needed.
• Maintain 1:1 tech-to-patient ratio and 8-hour day shifts (0645–1515), 40 hours/week.
• No on-call or weekend rotation; some holiday coverage.
• Float between Main OR and East side; rare float to West Side center.
• Utilize EPIC EMR; operate Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis system.
• Perform prep, scrubbing, and related OR support tasks; assist with cases across specialties.
• Support sterile processing and patient positioning; manage supplies.

• Some holiday coverage expected
• Floating between the Main OR and East side, with rare floating to the West Side surgery center across town
• EPIC EMR used
• Uses Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Perform preparatory, scrubbing, and related services to support patients in the operating room
• Assist with surgical cases across all specialty areas
• Support ancillary tasks such as cleaning, managing outdated supplies, and assembling instrumentation in sterile processing
• Charge nurse support available Monday through Friday, with no charge coverage on weekends or holidays
• Orientation includes two 8-hour shifts on the unit
• Procedural-colored scrubs provided
• Free on-site parking available
• First-time travelers considered upon review
• No more than 4 days of RTO approved
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions
• Former employees of Advocate Health or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
