American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital Operating Room assignment. The role requires strong experience across cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular procedures with a focus on efficient OR support and patient safety.

The position includes a 13-week assignment with a 1 in 3 weekend rotation and rotating holidays, using Epic EMR for documentation and patient records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the surgical technologist specialty required.
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI required.
• Active NYS license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable).
• Epic EMR experience required.

• Strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular experience required
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Active NYS license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference within the past year (charge nurse references not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required (Canadian SIN not accepted)
• Medical exemption required for flu declination (personal or religious exemptions not accepted)

• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required for all candidates
• Support surgical procedures across multiple specialties including cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular cases
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of specific counties (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington) are not eligible for this position
