Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Local or Travel Certified Surgical Technologist to support operating room procedures across diverse surgical settings. You will assist surgeons and nurses, maintain sterile technique, and ensure patient safety throughout operations.

The role requires on-call availability, strong teamwork, and dedication to infection control and regulatory standards. Housing stipends and travel reimbursement are among the benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist with active credentials.
• Willingness to be on call for variable shifts.
• Experience with OR sterilization and instrument handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare OR for procedures and ensure sterile equipment.
• Pass instruments, sponges, and sutures to surgeons.
• Operate lights, suction, and electrocautery under supervision.
• Position patients and ensure safety during surgery.
• Maintain sterile field and infection control.
• Assist with patient transport within the OR.
• Handle and dispose of specimens and biohazard materials.
• Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments.
• Be on call for variable shifts.
• Uphold ethics and regulatory standards.
• Show compassion and respect to patients and families.
