Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Local or Travel Certified Surgical Technologist to join our operating room teams in Montana. You will assist surgeons and nurses, prepare the OR, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field across diverse procedures.

You will set up and operate equipment, position patients, handle specimens, and ensure patient safety while traveling to different locations. CST certification and acute care experience are required.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA or equivalent.
• Experience in acute care settings with diverse surgical specialties.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with surgeons and nurses.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and maintain patient safety.
• Willingness to be on call for variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the operating room for procedures, ensuring equipment and supplies are sterile.
• Assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
• Set up and operate surgical equipment under supervision of licensed staff.
• Position patients and prep the surgical site according to protocol.
• Assist with patient transport, instrument counts, and documentation.
