American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assistant with neuro and plastics experience for an orthopedic service line covering neuro spine, podiatry, ortho and pain cases. The role features 4x10 day/evening shifts, 1:1 patient ratios, and Cerner charting.

Qualifications

• BLS and NBSTSA certification required.
• License required if applicable by state.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within last 7 years.
• Community hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support neuro, plastics, orthopedic, podiatry, and pain management surgical cases as a first assistant.
• Assist with spinal fusion, laminectomy, discectomy, ALIF, XLIF, and anterior cervical fusion.
• 4x10 day/evening shift schedule (7:00-17:30 or 9:00-19:30).
• 1:1 patient ratio; call 4-6 weekdays; weekends 3-5 days in six weeks.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control; PPE usage; holiday coverage as needed.
