MPOWERHealth is seeking a Surgical First Assist for an OR-only, full-time role in San Antonio, TX. Join a team delivering Intraoperative Neuromonitoring and Surgical First Assist services with full benefits.

Requirements include 2+ years of surgical assisting and PA/NP/CSFA credentials with AZ license eligibility; spine experience is a plus. Relocation assistance is available for this role.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of surgical assisting experience.
• Hands-on experience assisting in Ortho, Spine, General, GYN, and Robotics.
• Spine experience is a plus.
• Graduate of an Accredited PA/NP/CSFA program; ability to acquire AZ state license.

Responsibilities

• Lead as First Assist: primary hands-on support throughout procedures.
• Set the Stage: Pre-Op; confirm cases; meet patients; coordinate with OR staff.
• Deliver in the OR: position patient; maintain sterile field; anticipate surgeon's next move.
• Follow Through: Post-Op handoffs and documentation.
• Help Us Get Better: contribute to education, training, and process improvement.
• Keep Growing: willingness to learn new surgical specialties and expand skills.
