Job summary

Nakupuna Companies seeks a full-time Structural Engineer to evaluate structural systems for DoWEA facilities across the Pacific region, traveling to school campuses in Japan, Okinawa, Korea, and Guam.

Requirements include a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited), 5+ years of experience, and a PE or SE license is highly preferred. Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $145,000 yearly.

Qualifications

• Active PE or SE license preferred.
• Minimum 5 years evaluating reinforced concrete, structural steel, mass timber, and building envelope stability.
• Experience applying USACE BUILDER Condition Assessment Guide to structures.
• Ability to estimate material quantities from drawings and field observations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs) on institutional facilities to identify foundation settlement and envelope stability.
• Enter collected data into E-SMS within 90 days of each site visit.
• Document deficiencies and conditions with photos and metadata for DAM upload.
• Verify facility floor plans and track GSF discrepancies for FUS support.
