Job summary

Nakupuna Services is seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to join the DoWEA Team. The role involves evaluating structural integrity and building envelope stability for DoWEA educational facilities across multiple coastal locations, with extensive travel to the Pacific region.

Responsibilities include conducting FCAs, collecting data for E-SMS, identifying deficiencies with documentation, and supporting FUS with floor plan verification and GSF tracking. A PE/SE license is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 5+ years evaluating reinforced concrete, structural steel, mass timber in seismic/coastal environments
• PE or SE license highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs) on institutional facilities using the USACE BUILDER framework.
• Enter collected data into the Enterprise Sustainment Management System (E-SMS) within 90 days of each site visit.
• Document structural deficiencies with photos and metadata, and track life-cycle renewals.
• Support Facility Utilization Surveys by verifying floor plans and gross square footage discrepancies.
