Job summary

Nakupuna Services is seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to join the DoWEA Team. The role involves evaluating structural systems in seismically active, coastal environments and performing on-site triennial assessments across 45 campuses at 21 U.S. military installations in the Pacific Region, with substantial travel to Japan, Okinawa, South Korea and Guam.

Qualified candidates will have a B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET) and at least five years of relevant experience; a PE/SE

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited institution.
• Minimum of five years evaluating reinforced concrete, structural steel, mass timber, and building envelope stability in seismic/coastal environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs) on institutional facilities.
• Enter facility component data into E-SMS within 90 days of site visits.
• Document structural deficiencies with photos and comments in the DAM system.
• Verify facility floor plans and track GSF discrepancies for DoWEA projects.
