Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the PCU - Progressive Care Unit in Dallas, TX. This 13-week travel assignment requires a Stepdown RN with one year of recent experience and active RN license with BLS/ACLS.

As part of the team, you will monitor telemetry, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, patient-centered care for transitioning ICU patients.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) preferred.
• NIHSS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry and vital signs to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Maintains patient comfort, safety, and telemetry monitoring.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Promotes patient education focused on cardiac health and risk factors.
