Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU (Progressive Care Unit) for a 13-week assignment in Denton, Texas. The role requires a Stepdown RN with a current RN license, BLS, and ACLS; PCCN and NIHSS are preferred.

Start ASAP with nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours weekly, travel employment. As a travel RN, you will work in a facility in Denton, TX, delivering patient-centered care with a focus on telemetry monitoring, cardiac medications, and collaboration with the clinical

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a cardiac focus
• Performs essential nursing procedures and prepares equipment for cardiac-related examinations and procedures
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans focused on cardiac health and risk factors
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
