Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU (Progressive Care Unit) for a 13-week assignment in Round Rock, Texas. The role requires RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, with 36 hours weekly on 12-hour nights in a travel capacity.

The Stepdown RN will monitor cardiac rhythms, administer treatments, and collaborate with the care team to transition patients from ICU to general units. This position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits with travel support.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments focusing on cardiac care.
• Preps equipment and assists physician during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains comfort and safety of telemetry patients.
• Documents patient status and notifies supervisor/physician of changes.
• Responds to life-saving cardiac emergencies per protocols.
