Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown RN for a travel assignment in Kearney, Nebraska (68847). The 18-week contract offers nights, 3 days of 12-hour shifts, and competitive weekly pay of $2,823 to $3,003.

As a Stepdown RN, you will monitor telemetry, administer meds, support cardiac care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; respond to abnormalities.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physician during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety of telemetry patients.
• Observes patient conditions and reports cardiac status to supervisor/physician.
• Responds to life-threatening situations per cardiac protocols.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry care.
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
