Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown RN for a 15-week travel assignment in Kearney, NE. You will provide high-acuity care for patients transitioning from ICU to a stepdown unit and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires 1 year of Stepdown experience, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. You will enjoy competitive weekly pay, benefits, licensure reimbursement, and robust recruiter support while working nights on a 3x12 schedule.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Preferred: PCCN Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during cardiac-related procedures.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Observes patient, documents conditions, notifies physician of changes.
• Responds to life-threatening situations per cardiac protocols.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education focusing on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patients and client.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice.
• Follows hospital safety and infection control guidelines.
