Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel assignment in Charlottesville, Virginia. You will work 12-hour night shifts (48 hours per week) on a Stepdown unit with a 13-week contract, starting 10/12/2026.

Requires active RN license, a nursing degree from an accredited program, BLS, and 18 months of recent Acute Care PCU/Step-down experience. MedPro offers comprehensive benefits and travel reimbursement as part of a travel nurse package.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• BLS certifications.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care PCU/Step-down setting.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and uses the nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Collects, analyzes, and documents data and nursing diagnoses.
• Documents the plan of care with expected outcomes and interventions.
• Initiates and evaluates patient and family education.
• Revises the care plan based on evaluation and changes in medical status.
