Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification required.
• Eighteen months of recent Acute Care PCU/Step-down experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Collects, analyzes, and documents data and nursing diagnoses.
• Documents the plan of care with expected outcomes and interventions.
• Initiates and evaluates patient/family education.
• Revises the plan of care based on evaluation and clinical changes.
