Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Urbana, IL. You will provide care transitioning patients from ICU to medical-surgical units, with a focus on telemetry monitoring and cardiac interventions.

The role requires an RN license, BLS and ACLS valid certifications, and at least one year of Stepdown experience. Travel benefits, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and vital signs.
• Administer prescribed medications and cardiac-focused treatments.
• Assist physicians during cardiac procedures and examinations.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Document nursing history and physical assessments.
• Respond to life-threatening cardiac emergencies per protocols.
• Educate patients on cardiac health, risks, and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry care.
• Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
