Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment at a facility in Canaan, CT. The SLP will evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders across age groups, delivering individualized therapy plans and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include using standardized assessments, documenting progress in the EMR, and educating patients and families on treatment strategies.

Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing using standardized assessments.
• Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluations and patient goals.
• Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and document in the EMR.
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and home exercises.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety standards.
• Engage in quality assurance and professional development.
