Job summary

Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide assessment and treatment for patients with speech, language, and swallowing deficits. You will help patients communicate and swallow safely, and participate in ongoing education and care planning.

Deliver therapy per physician orders, assess patient needs, plan and modify care to meet therapeutic goals, and educate patients on effective communication strategies and safe swallowing.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current CCCs (ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence) or in the process of obtaining them.
• Valid state license or in the process of obtaining it; CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled speech therapy interventions per physician orders; assess patient needs and plan/modify care to meet goals.
• Set realistic objectives for patient progress and document progress.
• Evaluate referred patients and implement therapy plans; educate patients on effective communication and safe swallowing strategies.

Role:

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides assessment and treatment for patients with speech, hearing, and language deficits. They teach patients to improve communication, strengthen swallowing muscles, and develop or recover speech and language skills to support their social, educational, and vocational roles.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications & Skills:

Must hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, current CCCs, a valid state license or in the process of obtaining it, and CPR certification. At least one year of professional experience is required.
