Job summary

CARIN Alliance seeks a Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, voice, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting. The role involves creating individualized treatment plans, screenings, education for patients and families, and coordination with medical teams to ensure thorough documentation.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of experience, current BLS, ASHA-SLP certification, and valid state licensure.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Job description

Role:

Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, voice, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities:

Create individualized treatment plans, perform screenings, educate patients and families, report progress, and ensure accurate documentation according to guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

Must have at least 6 months of experience (new grads encouraged), current BLS, ASHA-SLP certification, and state licensure. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and have a strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Key Duties:

Assess and develop therapy plans for diverse patient populations, perform screenings, educate on speech disorders, and collaborate with healthcare teams.

Additional Info:

40 hours per week, dayshift, with potential certifications required prior to assignment.
