Job summary

Provident Behavioral Health is seeking a Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, voice, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting. The role involves developing individualized treatment plans and performing screenings and assessments for diverse patient populations.

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation following guidelines.
• Work 40 hours per week in an acute care environment (8-hour day shifts).

Job description

Role:

Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, voice, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities:

Develop individualized treatment plans, perform screenings, educate patients and families, report progress, and ensure accurate documentation adhering to guidelines.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 months experience (1 year preferred), BLS certification, ASHA-SLP National Certification, and state-specific licensure. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lean comfortably. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology required.

Key Duties:

• Create and implement therapy plans for diverse patient populations.
• Perform assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing issues.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation.
• Work 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week, in an acute care environment.
