Qualifications

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in WV or eligible for WV licensure.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations for residents in an acute care–oriented skilled nursing setting.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans addressing communication disorders and dysphagia.
• Deliver therapy sessions, document progress, and adjust plans of care based on patient response.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nurses, therapists, physicians) to optimize patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
• Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, progress, and home exercise programs; ensure safety and infection-control standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation in charting systems and comply with facility policies and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in West Virginia (or eligible for WV licensure per state requirements)
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Relevant clinical experience in speech-language pathology; familiarity with SNF and acute care settings is preferred
• Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility environment and participate in a travel assignment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with an interprofessional team
