Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Social Worker with a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Social Work to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in developing care plans for patients needing social work intervention. The role provides medically necessary support per physician orders and requires state/federal compliance.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of healthcare social work experience, CPR if applicable, and eligibility to meet professional standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Social Work (BSW) or Master’s degree from a school of social work accredited by the CSWE per state/client requirements required
• Minimum of one (1) year of social work experience in a health care environment
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of care for patients requiring social work intervention
• Provide medically necessary social work intervention to patients with social or emotional problems that may impede treatment or recovery, as directed by physician orders
