Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Social Worker with a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Social Work to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in developing care plans for patients needing social work intervention. The role provides medically necessary support per physician orders and requires state/federal compliance.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of healthcare social work experience, CPR if applicable, and eligibility to meet professional standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Social Work (BSW) or Master’s degree from a school of social work accredited by the CSWE per state/client requirements required
• Minimum of one (1) year of social work experience in a health care environment
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of care for patients requiring social work intervention
• Provide medically necessary social work intervention to patients with social or emotional problems that may impede treatment or recovery, as directed by physician orders

Job description

The Social Worker Masters collaborates with themultidisciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of carefor those patients requiring social work intervention. The Social Worker Masters provides medicallynecessary intervention to patients who have social or emotional problems thatare, or are expected to be, impediment(s) to the effective treatment of themedical condition and/or rate of recovery.Additionally, the Social Worker Masters provides these services inaccordance with physician’s orders.
