Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a compassionate Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams across varied clinical settings.

The role requires a Master’s in SLP, active state licensure or eligibility for CCC-SLP, BLS, and 1 year of SLP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of practice; CCC-SLP eligibility.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Speech-Language Pathology experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
• Provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and dysphagia disorders.
• Conduct bedside and clinical swallowing evaluations and recommend dietary modifications when indicated.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs.
• Maintain accurate evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, dietitians, and other professionals.
