Job summary

MedCadre seeks a compassionate Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across multiple clinical settings.

The role involves developing individualized treatment plans, providing evidence-based therapy, and coordinating care with physicians, nurses, therapists, and families while maintaining EMR documentation and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active SLP license in state of practice.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA required or eligible.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of recent SLP experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and referrals.
• Provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and dysphagia disorders.
• Conduct bedside and clinical swallowing evaluations and recommend dietary modifications when indicated.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs.
• Maintain accurate evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, PT/OT, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and infection control.
