Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Hearne, Texas. The role requires evaluating and planning care for patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments in the acute care setting.

The candidate should have at least 6 months of experience (6 months accepted for exceptional candidates), BLS, ASHA-SLP certification, and state licensing. Travel with 40 hours per week and 8-hour days.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads are encouraged to apply.
• BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment plans tailored to diverse patient populations.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress to families, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely documentation following state/insurance guidelines.
