Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for an acute care travel assignment in Middletown, RI. This 13-week engagement starts 10/26/2026, with 35 guaranteed hours per week and daily shifts from 08:00 to 16:30 in a long-term care setting.

You will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, provide bedside therapy, document progress, and collaborate with nurses, physicians, OT/PT, and social work to support resident care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain in Rhode Island.
• Ability to work in a long-term care setting with residents and staff.
• Travel eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations and develop treatment plans for residents.
• Provide bedside and small-group therapy and monitor progress.
• Document evaluation findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with an interprofessional team (nurses, physicians, OT, PT, social work).
• Participate in care planning meetings and educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with licensure, facility policies, and privacy regulations.
