Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift at a Level II Trauma Center teaching hospital. The candidate should have 2+ years of RRT experience and be comfortable with ventilators and EKGs. An MI license is required; compact licenses are not accepted.

CRT candidates are welcome to apply as this is a traveling position with a 13-week assignment, involving 12-hour nights and occasional weekends. Local travel rate reductions may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required.
• Comfortable with ventilators required.
• Comfortable with EKGs required.
• Active MI state license required; out-of-state licenses not accepted.
• Compact license not accepted.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NBRC.
• CRTs will be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Respiratory care in a 288-bed tertiary teaching hospital with Level II Trauma Center.
• Provides respiratory care in emergency, ICU and therapeutic settings.
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Every other weekend Fri/Sat; no on-call requirements.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Invasive and non-invasive monitoring, diagnostics and patient education.
