Job summary

OSS Health in Pennsylvania seeks an experienced Float RNFA to plan, execute, and evaluate nurse-led surgical care. The RNFA will assist in the surgical patient’s needs, support the operating room team, and ensure continuity of care across the patient’s operative experience.

This role requires PA licensure, RNFA education, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least 2 years in the OR. Frequent travel across OSS surgical locations in Central PA is expected, with a commitment to safety, efficiency, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• PA nursing license and familiarity with state practice act.
• RNFA education required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• At least 2 years of RN experience in the OR.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage time efficiently.
• Physically and emotionally capable with good dexterity.
• Computer proficiency and strong communication skills.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct patient care in the OR and direct team members.
• Perform First Assist duties per surgeon preference and technique.
• Scrub duties: set up field, pass instruments, maintain asepsis.
• Circulating duties: position patient, adjust table and assist team.
• Verify medications and charting per policies; ensure continuity of care.
• Transport patients and assist with transfers from stretcher to table.
• Report unusual occurrences to the OR Supervisor.
• Contribute to efficient and productive OR operations.
