Requires TX or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, 2+ years RN experience, travel nursing, and Epic charting; ventilator and central line skills are highly valued. This assignment offers competitive pay with stipends; lodging and meals allowances are included for traveling clinicians.

Qualifications

• Level I trauma experience preferred
• Ventilator management and IV therapy experience
• Central line care experience and management
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing services to trauma ICU patients
• Float to ICU, IMC, and Tele units as needed
• Collaborate with trauma team and physicians to ensure patient safety
• Maintain accurate Epic charting and documentation
• Adhere to facility policies and credentialing requirements

Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position at a Level I Trauma Facility, requiring a TX or compact RN license and Epic charting experience.

Details

• Level I Trauma ICU with 14 rooms and 16 beds
• Float required to ICU, IMC, and Tele units as needed
• Utilizes Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; PALS and TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Level I and II trauma experience preferred
• Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, IV therapy, and blood product administration
• Experience with central line care and management
• Experience with ICP monitoring preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services to trauma ICU patients
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not accepted
• Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
