Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma ICU in Tyler, TX. Epic charting experience and a TX or compact RN license are required. Day shift, 3x12s, 1:2 patient ratio in a 14-room ICU.
2 years of ICU experience preferred; travel nursing experience is advantageous. This assignment offers competitive weekly pay with lodging and meal stipends. Apply with American Traveler.

- Maintain patient care with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma ICU position requiring Epic charting experience and a TX or compact RN license.
- Level I Trauma ICU setting with 14 rooms and 16 beds
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:00)
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Uses Epic charting system
- Float required to ICU, IMC, and Tele units as needed
- Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required; PALS and TNCC preferred
- 2 years of experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Skilled in respiratory/thoracic care including BiPAP/CPAP management and ventilator management
- Experience with IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line care/management
- Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
- Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Provide critical care nursing to trauma ICU patients in a Level I Trauma setting
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties will not be considered
- Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration
- No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved, and none is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
