Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an RN Step Down for a 13-week telemetry/PCU assignment in Wisconsin. Requires 2 years of acute care and a WI or compact RN license, plus BLS/ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification. Epic EMR experience and travel nursing background are required.

The role is day shift (07:00–19:30) with every other weekend and holiday, local radius options, and the possibility of assignment extension discussed with management ahead of time.

Qualifications

• Active WI or compact RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required).
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Med-Surg/Telemetry acute care experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Must pass RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills assessment.
• Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Telemetry Unit within a hospital.
• May be placed on PCU, Med-Surg, or Med-Surg/Telemetry based on facility need.
• Day shift 07:00–19:30.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
• Floating within skill set or to sites within 40 miles as needed.
• Care team supports telemetry, PCU, or Med-Surg units.
• Radius rule applies for local candidates at a reduced rate.
• Only one submission per Ascension system-wide position.
• Discuss extension opportunities with manager at least 45 days before assignment end date.

• Only one submission permitted per Ascension system-wide position
• Travelers should discuss extension opportunities with their manager at least 45 days before assignment end date
