Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit position requiring surgical and telemetry patient care experience.

Day shift 07:00-19:30; 13-week assignment; requires IN license, BLS/ACLS, 2+ years RN experience, and Nursys/licensure verifications; candidate must provide SSN/DOB and driver's license with references.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (IN or compact) required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Extensive experience with surgical patient population and telemetry required.
• Nursys verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start.
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration.
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration.
• Two separate professional references required.

Responsibilities

• Progressive Care Unit setting caring for post-surgical cardiac and thoracic patients.
• Post open heart, heart transplant, LVAD, leg bypass, rib resection, and pneumonectomy cases.
• Day shift schedule from 07:00-19:30.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Provide telemetry-level nursing care to post-surgical cardiac and thoracic patients.
• Radius rule applies which may affect pay rate eligibility for candidates living locally to the facility.
• Local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate under the facility's radius policy.
• Travelers should discuss possible extension with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date.
• Submission limited to one Ascension position system-wide.
