American Traveler is hiring for a Progressive Care Unit RN on a night shift. Ideal for new grads or experienced nurses with ADN/ASN or BSN.

Requires IN or Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and willingness to work three 12-hour night shifts with every-other weekend. Prior ICU experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license IN or Compact.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred.
• New grads welcome; some prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for 16-bed Cardiac ICU (CVCU) patients, open-heart and general ICU.
• Care for post-surgical cardiac and complex cardiology patients.
• Night shift: 6:30 PM–7:00 AM; three 12-hour shifts weekly.
• Every other weekend required.
• Provide direct patient care: assessments, treatments, and coordination.
• Facilitate admission, transfer, discharge and education for patients and families.
• Delegate and supervise tasks by care team members.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement (falls, ulcers, CAUTIs).
• Clinical educator provides orientation.
• First-time travelers and new grads are welcome to apply.

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift position, ideal for new grads and experienced nurses alike with an ADN/ASN or BSN.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (IN or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• 16-bed Cardiac ICU (CVCU) unit caring for pre/post open-heart surgery patients using a universal bed concept where patients stay in the same private room from surgery through discharge
• Also cares for general ICU, complex cardiology, IABP/Impella, and post-cardiac arrest cooling patients
• Third shift schedule, 6:30p-7a, working three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for a diverse ICU and cardiac population
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities along with patient and family education
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring for falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs
• Clinical educator provides customized orientation
• First-time travelers and new grads are welcome to apply
