Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift assignment requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certifications along with a TX or compact RN license.

Details

Progressive Care Unit within a hospital setting
25-bed unit staffed with 54 FTEs, including charge RNs, staff RNs, and PCTs on both day and night shifts
Manages stroke patients, cardiac drips, continuous BiPAP patients, and post-procedure patients
Performs procedures such as emergent thoracentesis and telemetry monitoring
Uses equipment including BiPAP, restraints, AIRVO, and bedside monitoring for seizure precautions and telemetry
Documents using Meditech EMR
Patient ratio of 4:1, flexing to 5:1 during staffing shortages

Requirements
