Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring ACLS and NIHSS certifications with charge and precepting responsibilities.

Details

• 18-bed Intermediate Neurosciences & ENT Unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for stroke, tumors, epilepsy, spine injury, neuromuscular and neurodegenerative conditions, neurotrauma, CNS infections, and ENT malignancies
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call responsibilities
• May be assigned charge role or precepting duties nearly every shift

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum one year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred
