Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit in Missouri on the night shift. You will care for patients in an 18-bed PCU with 60 staff and a 4:1 patient ratio, performing post cath lab care and drip titrations using Meditech EMR.

ACLS, NIHSS, BLS and a valid MO license are required, with at least 1 year PCU experience and no major gaps in work history. Weekly weekends and no on-call requirements are noted. Housing and travel reimbursements are included.

Qualifications

Active MO or compact RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience required
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
US SSN and DOB required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
Two professional references required for Missouri assignments

Responsibilities

PCU North unit within the main hospital, 2nd floor
18-bed unit with 60 total staff
Day shift staffing: 1 CNC, 5 RNs, 2 PCTs; night shift staffing: 1 CNC, 4 RNs, 2 PCTs
Patient ratio of 4:1
Common procedures include post cath lab care and drip titrations
Uses Welch Allyn vital sign monitors, Alaris IV pumps, EKG, and BiPAP equipment
Charts using Meditech EMR
Night shift schedule, 7pm-7am
Works 2-3 weekend shifts per 4-week period
No on-call requirements
Provide progressive care nursing to patients recovering from cardiac catheterization and requiring drip titration monitoring
Grey scrub color required; hoodies not permitted
Unit recognized for quality awards including Employee of the Month and Daisy Award honors
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
