American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Neuro PCU RN for a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care unit. Must hold an active NC or compact RN license and have 2+ years of Neuro PCU experience with Epic EMR proficiency.

BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications are required, along with CVA care and CPAP/BiPAP familiarity. Day shift 7:00am-7:30pm, 3x12 hours with rotating weekends. RTO requests must be submitted with application; travel-friendly, open to first-time travelers; housing and licensure support

Aufgaben

• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response per unit needs
• Day shift: 7:00am–7:30pm, 3x12 hours
• Weekend rotation required
• Self-scheduling via Optilink in 6-week blocks
• Floating across Cone Health campuses as needed

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Neuro PCU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with CVA care, external CPAP/BiPAP, TR Band, and Yale Swallowing Screen required
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG skills required
• Experience with cardiac drip management (no titration)
• Isolation precautions and PPE competency required
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• PICC line and peripheral line care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care unit caring for medical neurological patients
• Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department provides cardiac surveillance support
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00am-7:30pm
• Rotating weekend requirement
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Floating required as needed across any Cone Health campus
• Self-scheduling conducted via Optilink in 6-week blocks
• Provide progressive care nursing to neurological patients, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local rates apply
• RTO must be submitted at the time of application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
