Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care/Stepdown unit position requiring 2 years of step-down or ICU experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Details

• 154-bed Joint Commission accredited hospital offering orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, and behavioral health
• Chest Pain Center
• Progressive Care/Cardiac Stepdown Transitional unit on the 4th floor with 22 beds
• Cares for cardiac observation, post cardiac catheterization lab patients, and cardioversion patients in an adult population
• Uses telemetry equipment
• Paragon EHR
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Step-down or ICU experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum required
• Team-oriented with good communication skills and flexibility
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Navy scrub color required; no offensive tattoos or non-facility tops permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
• Located in Clyde, NC, near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and within driving distance of Asheville, Knoxville, and Greenville
