Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Florida, requiring a FL or Compact license and at least one year of travel nursing experience.

You will care for complex patients including post open heart, post TAVR, and post pacemaker cases, manage drips, chest tubes, and BiPAP.

Contract is 13 weeks with day shifts 06:45–19:15 and every other weekend; 36 hours per week with travel stipends may apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (FL or Compact) required.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required.
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start.
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start.
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration.
• Two professional references required for consideration.

• Local candidates accepted, though may qualify for a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility

Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
