Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Night Shift RN for a PCU Float position in Georgia. Requires GA or compact RN license, 1 year MS/Tele/PCU experience, and Epic charting proficiency. Night shifts are 7:00 PM–7:00 AM on a 3x12 schedule, with every-other-weekend coverage.

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required, along with Florida? (no), but teaching/community hospital experience preferred and patient care across MS/Tele/PCU units. Navy blue scrubs and travel flexibility included.

Qualifications

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele/PCU nursing experience
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Float pool position covering MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the hospital
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 on PCU and 1:5-6 on MS/MS Tele units
• Uses Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work every other weekend (average 6 weekends in a 13-week contract)
• Floating across all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units
• No on-call requirements
• Provide care for MS, MS/Tele, and PCU patients including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Respiratory care experience preferred (BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, and oxygen)
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized at submission
• No RTO during orientation week
• Holiday coverage: 1 holiday if one falls during assignment, 2 if two, and 2 of 3 if three
• First-time travelers welcome
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
